There are two main types of coffee beans: Arabica and Robusta. Arabica, the most popular type, makes up about 70% of all commercially grown coffee globally. Robusta has more caffeine than Arabica but it also has a harsher taste that some people enjoy because it makes the coffee seem stronger or fuller-bodied. Robusta is cheaper to produce, but this means that there is less flavor and quality as it’s not exposed to as much light.
